"Dove; Receive And Release: Protection And Provision"

When my youngest son was around 10 we were in a pet store looking for him a hamster! He had his money in hand but, just couldn't find the one he wanted. My eye was drawn to a pair of white doves and their cooing. My son had noticed the way I was watching the doves. He came over and told me that he wanted to spend his money on a gift for me. My 10 year old son wanted to buy his mama those doves! I can not express how this touched my heart. That day we took our doves home and  began my education about doves! 

I learned that my pair of doves not only cooed but, they also "laughed"!

Doves mate for life, they protect their young under the soft down under their chests. They also have something called "crop milk" which they secrete from their chest to nourish their young.

The day this painting began to take shape I was painting on stage at Church . the back ground came first and then as I was about to start the wimgs that I had been sensing I felt the Holy Spirit say, “wait.......” 

I stopped painting and took my seat. I took the painting to the studio and set it up to complete that week. I started painting the wings . I found myself painting one wing drawn back and the other releasing out. 
I stepped back from the easel and as I looked at the painting I began to see a woman on this doves back . She was being carried..... I felt lead to begin pulling her out and  bringing her into vision. Then an odd thing happened. As she became clearer in the painting I felt Holy Spirit saying, "NOW….. paint the dove".
As I began to rough it in I realized the woman I'd seen was now at the heart of this beautiful dove. 
The colors began to spill off my brush as if it were ALIVE and the wings ,receiving and releasing ,yet its tail feathers were like an anchor
I knew that the chest area of this dove was very significant. It represents provision and protection, a breast plate of covenant colors!

Gods promise of protection and provision: drawing in, releasing and waiting..............emmmm this piece feels good!

I pray the Lord releases revelation of His heart as you take time to receive all that’s being released. And that provision and protection surrounds you as you experience His presence.
