"Right Wing Of A Great Eagle"

(This is one of a two part series "Left Wing Of  A Great Eagle" is the companion piece)

 Revelation 12:14, " The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach."

One day in the studio I was pondering what I would paint next. I suddenly had a desire to paint to huge wings of the biggest of the Eagle family. I began to search out images of these magnificent birds. I found the images that could give me the details of these great wings. I knew I wanted to paint both wings at the same time. I stacked two canvases and went to work. AFTER i completed the wings. I began to wonder why I was drawn to paint these..... I picked up my bible and began a word search for eagles. and what I found still has me thinking! I stumbled on to Revelation 12:14, " The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach." These wings carry strength and protection!

They were given to carry this one to safety!
